aXbo Alarm Clock Review
May 3rd, 2006
Remember that aXbo Alarm Clock that knows when it’s best to wake you by monitoring your sleep cycles? Well, the guys at Digital Reviews got their hands on one. They determined that for the most part setup and use will be intuitive with no need to read the manual, but for optimum operation they suggest a quick read for sensor placement, etc. They also noted that the device could use a few improvements, such a vibrating mode just incase your partner doesn’t want to be disturbed. Taking advantage of the already placed sensors to determine your sleep cycles, the alarm knows when you’re asleep such that it can turn off the optional sound soothing wave crashes or chirping crickets – saves on battery life too. Digital Reviews concluded their review by giving the aXbo an 8/10, and said “if you want to feel what it is like to wake up refreshed every morning this will be one of your better investments.

I knew that I should have bought it a while ago. But for $250??? That’s still a little much I think. I’m usually the one who cannot sleep with a watch on, as I am curious how a wristband would feel.

As they say in Matress stores: you spends 20%+ of your life sleeping, might as well do it right.

Hello. We have an aXbo clock. It’s not cheap, but I’m a gadget collector who also tend to choose the usefull ones. Actually, it works fine. It failed two times only (in two weeks now, and two person using, so 4 weeks for one person) - in thoose cases not the normal clear and nice sound is played, but an awful high frequency tone to make sure you wake up. The other cases are just great - with the lowest volume I’m up and ready in seconds :)
Also, It’s recommended to use the software, check your graph and set the alarm time according to that - having it in the middle of the deep sleep phase does not help.
