After months of having “Revolutionâ€? drilled into our heads again and again, Nintendo has released the ‘official’ name of their new system called “Wiiâ€? (pronounced ‘we’). Release date and pricing still remained unanswered, but at the very least expect Madden to be released for the system, although we’re not sure when. In an interview with EA’s John Schappert he revealed that the Nintendo motion sensing controller will be able to snap the ball with the pull of the controller, throw the ball with a swing, and much more.
Much like the DS, Nintendo’s newest offering may not be as powerful as the 360 or PS3, but its unique feature set (think in terms of DS dual touch screen) will surely carve a place for it in the gaming market.
