MySpace & Cingular To Sell UnSigned Ringtones

Mobile Music

Myspace, InfoSpace, and Cingular are now giving any Joe Schmo, or so it would seem, an opportunity to turn their unsigned, unlicensed music into a ring tone. 75 unsigned bands have been approached and are currently in trails. Cingular’s Mobile Music Studio first verifies the song for originality and then through a multi-step process by InfoSpace converts the music into a 30 second clip that can be sold on the band’s MySpace page.
