GyroBike training wheel replacement

GyroBikeThe GyroBike may replace training wheels as we know them. The GyroBike attaches a gyroscope and a rotating flywheel to the front wheel of a bike. When a rider leans to one side, the flywheel causes the front wheel to turn into the direction of the fall, correctly shifting the weight of the rider and recovering balance.

According to the manufacturer, the GyroBike will actually train kids on how to ride a bike better than training wheels because GyroBike will actually teach kids about balance, unlike training wheels.

GyroBike will sell as an attachment to a bike for $39. The manufacturer is also in talks with the six largest manufacturers of kids’ bikes, so also expect to see bikes shipping with GyroBike.

This would be great for my 8 year-old autistic daughter. She hates the training wheels but desperately wants to ride a bike.
