Nap Alarm

I sure could use the Nap Alarm from Japanese company Takanoha, following my grotesquely large meals as I have a tendency to hit lunch-time coma while at work. When you start to nod off the alarm vibrates behind your ear to jolt you to awareness. Costs $12 and is available here.

OK, when I saw the Panasonic whiteboard yesterday, which is virtually unchanged from the one I used to work with (i.e. repair) in 1982 (24 years ago!), I thought it was just a slip. The model I used then could print directly to its own (thermal) printer, had 5 scrolling pages, and could link and print to a color printer. So, some oldie tech slipping in. A one time thing… Then I see this nap alarm thing that has been around in one form or another since 1990. And frankly, the ones popular back then (which had a audible alarms, not vibration) looked much less like a Borg Implant.

I really don’t think stuff that’s been around in the same form for more than a decade should be on a gadget blog.
