Ventura Kinetic Digital Watch

Ventura has annunced The V-Tech Sigma ∑ MGS, the first digital watch with its own rechargable power-source. It will be powered by kinetics — your body movement. While this technology is not new to the analogue world, this would mark the first kinetic digital watch.

The sexy new Ventura Sigma will feature the Ventura EasySkroll Knob and operating system encased in scratch-resistent stainless steel. The watch’s actual display will be on the side of the watch and the generator placed on the top. The generator will be visible through a sapphire crystal glass.

Pretty good looking, but is it worth the $1,750?

The sparc fx WAS the first digital watch powered by a kinetic movement. It displays the time only, one line of large digits. It was followed by another similar model with a slightly different steel case rather than the hardened titanium which the fx has. Fx is a current model. the model above is just the latest edition to the ventura digital line

Clarification and correction to my comment(#3) above: the fx actually has two lines of digital readout: the top line is the hour( 12) and the bottom the minutes( 36). It is unique this way and allows for larger digits. turning the crown will give you the date. In the time display there are no seconds or flashing colon.(there is a eol feature with flashing colon but you should never see that in normal operation)

I have a Ventura Sparc and I think its a great watch. Its simple and elegant yet very high tech and modern.

I can wear to work and it looks good.

does anyone out there know who distributes Ventura watches in singapore (where I am currently travelling through) or australia where i live. the manufacturers website produces an error in the distribution window so perhaps the company has gone broke,
anyone with a clue??????

i’m from singapore – i’ve seen ventura watches at the Tangs Department Store on Orchard Road. The booth is in the men’s department near the ties, not where the other watches are displayed.

A very stylish little ensumble, i have a mp3 watch which is nice, but not nearly as groovalishus. Definently not woth the 1750!!

I cannot find a single retailer of Ventura watchs in Las Vegas,Nv. The only one advertised as a retailer at the Venitian never sold Ventura watchs. Websites that sell Ventura watchs have only closeout sales on older models.Where is the closet place or upcoming trade show in Vegas can I view the latest Ventura watchs?

I have just purchased a Ventura fx digital but am having trouble follwing the instuctions to get it going. Can anyone help by explaining it better than the instruction book?
