Sony NAS-D5HD Boombox with 40 GB hard drive

The Sony NAS-D5HD Netjuke boombox – as we use to call it back in the dizzay – can hold up to 40 gigs of music. Not only does it support MP3 playback, but it also includes a Mini disc slot (hello Japan), CD player, USB Port, Memory Stick Duo slot, and an Ethernet slot presumably for Internet radio and hopefully home networking/streaming. The CD and Mini Disc slots allow you to rip directly to the hard drive. A nice add to the system is the 4.3 LCD read out where song info is displayed, and even allows you to interact with Sony’s online music store to download tunes. Puts out 20W on 2 channels and should cost around $550. No word on availability.
