Monolith MX7000 Semi-Indestructible MP3 Player Now in 1GB & 2GB
March 14th, 2006 12:51 PM | by Christen da Costa
Remember that semi-indestructible MP3 player called the Monolith MX7000 that we featured back in December? Well, its back and sporting a larger 1GB and 2GB capacity (original size was 512MB.
Notables of the past and present player are the player’s slick aluminum finish and the fact that it could take a bullet - albeit a BB gun bullet - be run over by a car, and hurled against a brick wall and keep on playing. Other features included a 19-hour playback time, line in recording, FM recording, and compatibility with multiple audio encoding formats.
Available here for around $200 and $260 respectively.

Great mp3. Survives me, so it has to be good. Has been dropped on train tracks, only got a couple of scratches. But the screen is really annoying. In strong light its a mirror and you can’t see the menu.
