Battery Free Mouse

Most wireless mice come with rechargeable batteries and a charging dock, but that means infrequent periods of none use due to cradle placement. To escape this inevitable problem some folks developed a wireless mouse sans batteries. The mouse operates by drawing its power from the included special mouse pad. Sure this limits placement, but at least you won’t get your cord snagged time and time again, and no more charging.

Available here for $45.

  1. [...] A wireless mouse is a good idea, but the last one I had weighed about 6 pounds because of the battery. That is no longer a problem, thanks to this battery free wireless mouse. As long as it is in contact with the special mouse pad it can draw all the power it needs to keep your cursor clicking. Cool. I have no idea how it works, though. Presumably the mouse pad isn’t just an exposed power source. I could see problems with that. I assume they thought of that. (Gadget Review) [...]
