Nokia has confirmed the reason behind the Nokia N91′s delay. According to Nokia, the N91, which was due out last Christmas, was delayed primarily because of trying to add Windows DRM. This, of course, is referring to the N91 delay in September.
Nokia is still trying to get its N91 out this quarter. And with Nokia recently getting the N91 FCC approved, this should be achievable once the Windows DRM problems get squared away.
For those of you out of the loop, the Nokia N91 is Nokia’s music phone that’s shipping with a 4 GB hard drive. Nokia is trying to get its 4GB mp3 player cell phone onto the market before the Samsung W41T and the Sony Ericcson W950, both of which are shipping with 4 GB hard drives.
