There’s no denying that XBox Live has been a major factor in the XBox 360′s success. In fact this week, Microsoft announced that 54% of Xbox 360 owners subscribe to XBox Live. So it’s no suprise that Sony is trying to tap the online game service just right with the PlayStaion 3. Introducing, Sony PlayStation HUB.
According to Next Generation, Sony is launching an online game service similiar to XBox Live, currently named PlayStation HUB. PlayStation 3 owners should have much of the same features with HUB as Xbox Live, including including chat, downloadable demos, independent games and online play.
