Motion Detecting Security Phone

We saw a phone similar to this not too long ago that monitored audio to detect home intrusion. The SecuPhone takes a slightly different approach by monitoring movement via a built-in motion detector. If it detects an intruder’s presence the phone dials a preprogrammed number that allows the user to listen in. Don’t want that burglar sticking around to burglarize your goods? Then just hit ‘1’ on the keypad and the device will emit a siren, or hit ‘*’ to activate the voice warning.

[...] Nothing says ‘gadget’ like a spy tool. If you remember we featured a few phones that would perhaps assist in home security, but what about office snooping? The CP-1 mouse has a built in microphone that turns on when plugged into a powered up PC. You’ll need the matching receiver to hear what’s going on, and why you can’t record to the computer’s hard drive is beyond us. No word on price or availability, but sort of more info here. [...]
[...] We loves us some snoppin’ at GadgetReview. We’ve seen a few phones that blur the lines between spying and home security, but this home made device is probably all espionage as it transmits the user’s telephone call via FM frequency. According to Electronics Lab the signal should be good for up to 200’ and broadcast between 88 to about 94Mhz. [...]
Unfortunately the very look of it screams “motion detector” and a theif would spot it in a second (unless that was the intent?!). It would’ve been much better if they hid the motion detector bit.
