Wacky — 17 February 2006

Thanks to the Microsoft and DirecTV partnership announced at CES, you may soon be able to view DirecTV content on your XBox 360. According to the March 2006 issue of Official Xbox Magazine, alongside the Xbox Live, Games, Media, and System Blades (tabs), you’ll soon see a DirecTV blade.

The DirecTV blade will allow you to download TV episodes in high definition, watch HD movies on demand, and standard-definition streaming DVR (i.e., TiVo) functions.

No announcement on price or date of availability.

I just wonder how much HD content can fit on a measily 20 gig hard drive.
