Banned WiFi on Campus
When I was growing up it was always “don’t sit too close to the TV, its bad for you!� Now its “don’t sit too close to the WiFi, you’ll mess up your growing tissue?� The President Fred Gilbert of Lakehead University, citing health concerns for developing minds, has banned WiFi on the Thunder Bay, Ontario campus.
“These are particularly relevant in younger people (who have) fast-growing tissues, and most of our student body are late teenagers and still growing, so it’s just a matter of taking precautions and providing an environment that doesn’t have a potential associated risk,” he said.
Does this guy use a cell phone, reheat his food in a microwave, or even listen to the radio?
