Sticking to a strict diet is not easy task. Every hand picked grocery item’s nutrition panel must be meticulously read to assure the proper intake of protein, sugars, carbs, etc. The LCD Shopping Cart should speed this process by providing the nutrition info via RFID. Looks like there is some sort of bar code scanner for times when the product doesn’t support RFID – this is an assumption, unless of course the system isn’t powerful enough and requires you wave the scanner by the product. The Shopping Navis Wagon – currently in test phase – is developed by Fujitsu, Jusco, Dai Nippon and the Japanese government. Don’t expect to see these State side anytime soon, but one can hope.
