Panasonic SA-XR57: HDMI receiver with HDAVI control

This newly introduced receiver supports Panasonic’s HDAVI Control over HDMI. What this basically means if you have a Panasonic DVD player / Television that supports HDAVI over HDMI, the SA-XR57 is able to control the other devices.
One cable. HDMI. It will send over your high definition video, multi-channel audio, and now control signals! All you’ll need is just this one remote and it will intelligently control the rest of your system.
I’ve been waiting for this feature forever. It’s really nice to see a company sending everything over one cable.
The $399 is also fully featured. It has most of today’s most advanced surround sound and multi-channel sound formats: Dolby Pro Logic IIx, Dolby Digital EX, DTS 96/24, DTS-ES and DTS NEO:6. None of the high definition ones, however.
The receiver is powerful enough to deliever 100 watts over all of its support 7 channels. You can even buy the optional Panasonic SH-FX60 wireless rear speakers.
Not bad for a low end receiver.
