Gold connector USB cables

Cable manufactuers have been doing this for years. Suckering poor consumers out of more money. While gold is one of the best conductors out there (low resistence), it’s also a very expensive metal. In fact, both silver and copper, both cheaper metals, have lower resistence.
However, science aside, there’s always been a lot of marketing behind gold connectors. Thank you Monster. And now we’re even seeing gold make its way into USB cables. A purely digital, short cable. You know, the kind of cable where a slightly lower resistence won’t even impact the quality or your life.
The cables come in 3 different lengths (0.3 m, 1.5 m, and 2.5 m). There’s also 3 different types of connectors — a standard USB cable, a mini USB cable (for cameras, phones, etc..), and an extension.
But hey, if you want to part with your hard earned money I can either sell you this forehead sucker tattoo, or you can head on over to Elecom.
