Voice controlled XM radio

XM Satellite Radio and VoiceBox Technologies have announced a multiyear partnership that will bring voice activated controls to XM radio.

The partnership will allow drivers to use voice controls to search through XM radio’s 160 channels, leaving their eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel.

XM said that it chose VoiceBox because it worked accurately in noisy environments.

Sirius may have Howard Stern, but it looks like XM is fighting to keep its #1 position on the hardware side.
