Some crazy dude has used X10 camera and control units to allows web surfers to turn 26,000 off his Christmas lights and deflate Santa, Frosty, and ?hulk?. Check out the site that was recently “dugg,” at: here. The camera’s and its controls are usually operational between 5pm and 10pm MT time (he currently is on the front page of Digg so he has decided to leave it running all night – poor neighbors).
Alek, the guy who apparently has alot of time on his hands, is trying to raise awareness and funds for Celiac Disease reasearch – his kids have it. Noble cause and great idea. Celiac disease is an auto immune disorder in which one is allergic to gluten, a biproduct of wheat and other similar foods. It basically means no flour, and if the afflicted is to eat these things they can damage their small intestine, which can ultimately lead to cancer, etc. Not nice, but fortunately Celiac’s diseases is manageable with the proper diet.
Good luck Alek!!
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
