Sega and Professor Kawashima from the Tohoku university have developed the “brain trainer.” According to Professor Kawashima repeating simple math tasks stimulate and train the human brain. “Brain Training Drills” have become very popular in Japan, especially among 35+ year olds.
Sega’s Brain Trainer gadget looks a lot like a calculator inside a book. However, this super calculator also features modes for Training, Check, Data, Point and Set-up.
Over 32,000 units have been sold in Japan so far in the two months since it debuted. The Sega Brain Trainer will set you back $44.

this is an awesome gadget. i dont know whether to call this sega brain trainer a game or a toy, but it works. all reviews say that it costs $44 – and we couldnt find these anywhere, until we came across a kids site http://www.kidscds.org where they have this brain trainer for less than $30. we got it for ourselves ( we are 35 and 37) but then we gave it to our some who is 13 – and he loves it too. box actualyl says for ages 12+ These japanese folks ROCK!!
