LG announced its waterproof phone today – probably the perfect life guard phone. The canU 502S, crafted in cooperation with Casio Computer, can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes with no damage. The phone has also been reinforced with special glass and urethane, and a replaceable bumper can also be attached the bottom of the phone to further soften impact if you are of the butter finger type. The 502s also sports a megapixel camera and an MP3 player.

Not sure when will see it here in the US, and the phone will set you back 550,000 Won (roughly $500).
