Creative, who recently sued Apple, has made a sad, sad attempt at rivaling the all too successful Apple iPod. There new Zen Vision:M looks like a carbon copy of the iPod minus the intuitive click wheel (it has a vertical scroll button – please), slender size (almost twice as thick as the iPod), and oh ya, the high end build quality. Purportedly the Zen Vision:M has 4 hours video playback, but only 12 hours on music (14 hours on the iPod). You can also get the player in black or white – does it get any worse.

Listen, end result is it’s an attempt at getting under Apple’s skin for supposedly jacking Creative’s menu system. If I was Apple, I would be standing in the proverbial ‘after school parking lot’ with my arms spread wide and just waiting for them to bring it – “cause it already got brought (bad movie quote), and we all know the demise of this player.

i’m really sorry but i think my creative zen micro is better than iPods because the zen is better value and stores more than a iPod nano AND iPod mini, because it can hold 3,000 songs (with 6 gigabytes of memory) plus it records radio. so HA!
