Watch TV, DVDs, and PVR from your PSP

Sure we just announced how you can transfer movies and music to your PSP via PSP Media Manager. But you haven’t heard nothing yet.

Sony’s LocationFree product, which allows you to view any of your home content including live television, DVDs, and record PVR content via any Wi-Fi connection, just added support for the PSP! When you update to the new PSP firmware version 2.5 you’ll now be able to access your LocationFree directly from your TV.

Not excited? Loser. Think of it this way. Let’s say you have all your favorite shows recording to your PVR. When you’re at an airport, hotel, or anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection, you can now watch those shows on your PSP without needing to transfer the shows to the device. It uses the Wi-Fi connection. Have accesses to hundreds of hours worth of video anywhere.

Very very cool.
