Sony’s new car stereo receiver, the Xplod MEX-1GP, is a next generation MP3 player for your car. The car stereo will feature one gig of MP3′s, hence the nickname the “Giga Panel.”

The Xplod will feature a removable faceplate. Once removed, you can hook the faceplate up to your PC to transfer music. Music will transfer via the USB port on the panel.

The MEX-1GP has a 208-watt amp and a three-band equalizer. The receiver will feature a 13-digit LCD display to show track and title information.
