Platronics Pulsar 590 Bluetooth Stereo Headset

When I had a PDA I infrequently used it because between my cell phone, and computer it was just too much for too little. Fortunately for the audio world, the convergence is upon us and Platronics has taken a step closer by introducing the Pulsar 590. The Pulsar 590 offers high fidelity audio listening via Bluetooth, with the ability to switch seamlessly to wireless headset for cell phone chatter. The microphone is telescoping so it can be somewhat hidden (otherwise you look like a commentator or even better part of the local Nascar pit crew).

Platronics took it a step further and has also included an analog adaptor to be used with any device sporting a headphone jack (think iPod, home stereo, wireless TV if you can turn speakers off). The Pulsar 590 ships with a desktop charging stand, AC charger, USB charging cable, in-flight cable and travel case. Its in-flight cable enables use during flight while the Bluetooth radio is turned off.

Don’t expect long playback time, but should suffice for those who use at home.

Complete package available at Amazon for $160.
