In a no-surprise move Nokia will slowly phase out their N-Gage (aka The Taco) Game Phone. Why this didn’t happen sooner, who knows? Nokia probably didn’t want to admit defeat 2 years ago, so they continued to release newer versions of the device, hoping and praying that lack luster sales was due to user interface quirks found in its original version – guess not Nokia.
Nokia has sold 2 million N-Gages since its release – they had hoped for 6 million. Nokia will continue to provide a ‘gaming experience’ but plans to focus on music centric phones and will incorporates games into other phones as an additional feature.
