It's also nice to see the US playing a huge role in it's own home market and even coming out on top, which hadn't been seen seen the early 1980's. After losing a lot of $ in their first year of the release of the PS2, Sony made tons of $ in like a year or 2 after, and now dominate the market - which is the ultimate goal to gain more sales and beat your competitors. PS3 for example will also loose about $100 for every console sold if their price is set to about $400. That’s the whole plan!
