RIM has announced its newest Blackberry will run on an Intel processor — the BlackBerry 8700c. The 8700c, which was code-named Electron, will run on an Intel 312MHz PXA901 XScale processor. The device will come with 64MB of flash memory and 16MB of SRAM (static RAM).

The device will feature a full QWERTY keyboard, 320 x 240 color LCD, and Bluetooth. Also of exciting note is its support of the Cingular EDGE network for high speed internet access.

The phone will ship for the Cingular Wireless network starting November 21. The phone will be available for $299 with a 2 year service plan.
