I love Apple, don’t get me wrong. But when I heard they were suing Thinksecret I was a little disappointed. Now to make matters worse they have obtained, through judicial proceedings, the URL iTunes.co.uk. Sure a group called Cyberbritain redirected the domain to Napster (not sure this happened before or after bid for URL), but to offer a measly $5,000 for it, that’s absurd when you consider the wealth of the company (billions of $$$). Cyberbritain asked $50,000, which ain’t asking a lot given the relative value of the domain and the amount of payola Apple would make.

Cyberbritain had the foresight to register the domain, now reward them. I am not officially endorsing their redirect to Napster, but Apple probably deserved it assuming the redirect followed the bid of the lowly $5,000.
