Netflix Hits Pause on Movie Download Biz
Due to Hollywood disinterest, or should we say great apprehension about file sharing, Netflix has been forced to delay its movie download product indefinitely.
Netflix, whose board consists of a Tivo excutive or two, has long been rumored to enter into the download movie space with DVR based company. CEO Reed Hastings said they will continue to build the necessary infrastructure to support the download movie channel and “will be ready to launch when the content climate begins to thaw.”
