Apple announces new iMac

Computers Rumors — 12 October 2005

Apple announced an update to its iMac today. The iMac update includes several key new features, including:

  • built in iSight
  • Front Row – use the new Apple remote control to watch movies / listen to music
  • Photo Booth – take pictures like a mall photo booth with your iSight
  • ships with Mighty Mouse
  • includes Apple Remote
  • slimmer than ever
  • $1299 for 17″ model with 1.9GHz processor
  • $1799 for 20″ model with 2.1GHz processor

Not a bad update, although it will likely be trumped by the iPod video.
