Sony has just unveiled an ultra small Memory Stick (stick hardly seems appropriate considering its size) called the Mirco Memory Stick. The new Micro Memory Stick, made in cooperation with SanDisk, measures 15 x 12.5 x 1.2mm – that means it can fit on top of a U.S. dime. The new Micro will be marketed towards cell phones, and holds a ‘theorized’ max of 32gb.

Expected release date is sometime in 2006, although Sony and SanDisk said they will begin licensing the product next month.
