I.C. Can: Instant cold beer and soda anytime

September 25th, 2005 4:57 PM | by Christen da Costa | No Comments

Thanks to Tempra Technology and Crown Holdings you may never have to drink a warm beer again. The Instant Cool Can (I.C. Can) is a self-refridgerating that can cool its contents by 30 degrees in just three minutes.

The cans are 100% safe and environmentally-friendly. The I.C. Can uses no carbon dioxide, CFC, HFC, or any other compressed gas. It works by using vacuum-power to draw the heat out of the soda and into an insulated heat-sink container.

How soon will we see beer and soda cans featuring this technology? Since the I.C. Can is already in its final stages and Temptra Technology and Crown Holdings are already discussing commercialization and marketing, it could be in a few months! We may never have to lug that cooler full of ice to the beach again.
