Gillette Announces a five-blade razor

Shick may have blown your mind when they managed to squeeze four blades onto their Quatro a couple years ago, but you ain’t seen nothing yet. Gillette announced the first five blade razor ever created by man. What will its impact be on the shaving world?

The Gillette Fusion will be available in two varieties — boring, normal razor and battery-powered Power like its M3 predecessor. The Gillette Fusion will retail for $9.99 and the Gillette Fusion Power will retail at $11.99.

Also note worthy to the hairier guys out there, the Fusion will feature a single blade razor on the back to get to those hard-to-reach areas like sideburns, under the nose, and for shaping facial hair.

Do gadgets get much manlier than razors?

Bought a power fusion yesterday at Wal-Mart to compare with my battery-operated M3. Not sure after one shave if it’s a significant improvement. I found like Consumer Reports reported that the difference in the M3 with the battery on versus with the battery off was negligible, though I continue to use it with the battery on.

We have always used Gilette poducts until our local grocery chain closed and had Schick Quatro battery operated razors on clearance. I tried it for the first time last night and was amazed, being handicapped I can never shave my legs right. This is the first time in my life I felt smooth with no nubs. I bought it for my husband for Xmas and has used it daily for 3 weeks, I thought it was a new blade, it is still the first one. He was amazed when he first used it that is why I tried it. I would recommend this to everyone expecially those with handicappes and elderly that find it extrememly a chanllenge to even shave.

As far as Gilette, I would love to send you all the razors I have tried and then they discontinue the refills!!!! Why can’t they make the razors to interchange with the new ones like Shick/Men Women Quatro inter changes. We still have our single and double blade razors from over 20 years ago, try to find refills for Gilette.

I bought Fusin refills and I paid almost $14 last week for 4 razors by accident because we have always used gillette. I tried them in all the gilette razors and none of the refills fit and the store will not return them because the back was ripped a little which is how I purchased them and never used!!!!!!!!

My advice is stay with one good razor like the Shick Quatro and quit trying new ideas to waste the consumers money and time trying to find the correct refills.

I am sending this to everyone in my address book. They are all 40 years+ of family and friends. I don’t want them to waste their time and money either.

Sorry Gilette, you were a part of my family since as long as I can remember.
