The first question in my mind is: Why didn’t Sony offer a browser application when it was released? I can remember finding the application that allowed you to input your WiFi information and then being sorely disappointed to find out you could only receive ‘updates’ and play WiFi associated games.

The new app for the PSP will be available via a software download and should enable web browsing, email access, news content – you know, web stuff. How many PSP owners do you think will be surfing for porn minutes after the download? Writing an email on the PSP could prove difficult, though. Perhaps enter ‘Touchscreen PSP’ with stylus?

Sony’s PSP has sold nearly 2million unit in North America since is March release.
